OpenDesign at a glance
Checked 15 Oct 2026OpenDesign (v0.25.0, October 2026) is an Apache-2.0 desktop app for macOS and Windows (Linux from source) plus a Docker option. It drives coding agents you already have (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode and others) or a BYOK model, including Ollama and LM Studio, to make interactive prototypes, decks, images and videos with a live preview, following a design system. It makes prototypes, not full-stack apps: no database, auth or hosting. Some telemetry is always on. The README advertises a paid OpenDesign Go/Cloud plan.

2 of 6 jobs. Interactive front-end prototypes and design artifacts only; no backend, database or publishing.
For change the UI by clicking on it (Visual Edits), add a database, publish the app to a live URL (Publish), turn a screenshot, see other Lovable alternatives. You may also need to build an interface, an API server and hosting yourself.
