Checked 15 Oct 2026

bolt.diy (v1.0.1, October 2026) is the community, MIT-licensed version of Bolt.new, run with Node.js and pnpm, Docker, or an Electron desktop build. It writes and runs apps in an in-browser WebContainer with editor, terminal and preview, using cloud providers or Ollama and LM Studio. It can connect Supabase, deploy to Netlify, Vercel or GitHub Pages, and build Expo apps. The README says it is now maintenance-only: fixes, no new features. WebContainers has separate commercial terms for enterprise use. The latest release has no desktop binaries attached.
