LibreSign at a glance
Checked 15 Oct 2026LibreSign (v15.0.8, 7 Oct 2026) is an AGPL-3.0-or-later app installed inside a Nextcloud server, not a standalone service. It defines signing order and roles, includes internal and external signers, sends reminders, keeps a traceable record, validates signed documents and certificate status, and offers APIs. Setup generates a root certificate and downloads helper binaries. Useful mainly if you already run Nextcloud.
RepoQuarry. “LibreSign.” Checked 15 Oct 2026. https://repoquarry.dev/projects/libresignHow much of DocuSign does it replace?
5 of 6 jobs. Requires a Nextcloud server; signing works on Nextcloud files and users.
For reusable signing templates, see other DocuSign alternatives. You may also need to build an interface, an API server and hosting yourself.
