Apache-2.0 browser video conferencing with screen sharing, in-call chat and polls; self-host it for calls alongside a team chat.

Jitsi Meet at a glance

Checked 15 Oct 2026

Jitsi Meet is a mature, Apache-2.0 video meeting server and web app with HD audio and video, screen sharing, in-call chat, polls and mobile apps. It covers calls only, not persistent channels; Zulip and Rocket.Chat can link to it. Self-host on Debian 12+ or Ubuntu 24.04+ packages or Docker. Docs suggest 8 GB RAM (4 GB for small meetings), about 4 dedicated cores and a fast network link; recording with Jibri needs far more.
