JSignPdf at a glance
Checked 15 Oct 2026JSignPdf (3.2.1, 28 Sep 2026) is a Java desktop app with installers for Windows, macOS (Apple Silicon) and Linux, plus a batch command line. It signs PDFs you hold with PKCS#12 keystores or PKCS#11 tokens and smartcards, adds RFC 3161 timestamps and OCSP/CRL data, and can produce PAdES signatures through the bundled EU DSS engine. It only signs locally: no sending to other signers, tracking or templates. Dual-licensed MPL-2.0 / LGPL-2.1.

1 of 6 jobs. Signs your own PDFs with certificates or smartcards; does not send documents to others or track them.
For send documents for signature, signing order and reminders, audit trail and completion certificate, reusable signing templates, eSignature API and embedded signing, see other DocuSign alternatives. You may also need to build an interface, an API server and hosting yourself.
