BillionMail at a glance
Checked 16 Oct 2026BillionMail (15.9k stars, v4.9 Dec 2025, last push June 2026) bundles a Postfix/Dovecot mail server, Roundcube webmail and an email-marketing panel: contacts with lists and tags, templates with variables and spintax, scheduled campaigns, a send API and delivery, open and click-through dashboards. AGPL-3.0. It sends from your own server, so no sending service is required, but outbound port 25 must be open and deliverability is up to you (an SMTP relay is optional). Linux only, 1 core / 1 GB RAM minimum. It also markets itself for cold outreach. No automations or paid subscriptions are listed.
RepoQuarry. “BillionMail.” Checked 16 Oct 2026. https://repoquarry.dev/projects/billionmailHow much of Mailchimp does it replace?
3 of 5 jobs. Lists, campaigns and stats on your own mail server; no automations, forms or landing pages listed.
For automations and drip sequences, signup forms and landing pages, see other Mailchimp alternatives. You may also need to build an interface, an API server and hosting yourself.
