Shippie at a glance
Checked 15 Oct 2026Shippie (v0.21.2, June 2026) runs an agent loop that reads the diff, explores the repo with developer tools and posts focused review comments, for example on exposed secrets, slow code and edge cases. Runs as a GitHub Action, in GitLab CI, on Node or Cloudflare, or locally on staged changes (`npx shippie review`), and can call MCP tools. MIT. Built-in providers are paid APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, Cloudflare Workers AI); Ollama needs a code change.
RepoQuarry. “Shippie.” Checked 15 Oct 2026. https://repoquarry.dev/projects/shippieHow much of CodeRabbit does it replace?
2 of 5 jobs. Agentic PR and local review with your own API key; no PR chat, summaries or test generation.
For pull-request summaries and change explanations, chat with the reviewer about a PR, automated test generation, see other CodeRabbit alternatives. You may also need to build an interface, an API server and hosting yourself.
