Laravel accounting app for small businesses with invoices, bills and an app store; free production use is capped at 2 users, 1 company, 1,000 invoices.
Akaunting (10.2k stars, 3.2.4 Sep 2026) is a self-hosted web accounting app (PHP 8.1, Laravel, VueJS) for invoices, bills, payments, customers and vendors. Extra modules such as Bank Feeds, double-entry and payroll come from its App Store. It is no longer open source: the Business Source License 1.1 allows production use only up to two users, one company and one thousand invoices, forbids white-labelling and offering it as an accounting service, and each version turns into GPLv3 four years after release. Beyond those limits a commercial licence is required.
