# write-good

> write-good is a deliberately simple ("naive") style linter for English prose, used as a Node.js library or via npx on Markdown files. It flags passive voice, weasel words, wordy phrases and sentences starting with "So". A community add-on (schreib-gut) covers German. MIT. Mature but quiet: last commit March 2025. It checks no spelling or grammar and does no AI rewriting, tone changes or plagiarism checks.
