# Typebot

> Typebot (10.5k stars, v3.19.0 Sep 2026) builds conversational chat forms from 34+ blocks: text, email, phone, choice, date, file and Stripe payment inputs, conditional branching, scripting, webhooks, Google Sheets, Zapier and Make, with drop-off analytics and CSV export. Self-hosting unlocks all features for free with Docker, but the licence is the Functional Source License (FSL-1.1-Apache-2.0): you cannot sell access to your instance or embed the editor in a product you sell; each release becomes Apache-2.0 after two years. No PDF forms or e-signatures.

## What it replaces
- Typeform: Form and survey builder, One-question-at-a-time conversational forms, Conditional logic and branching, Response analytics and exports, Payments in forms, Integrations and webhooks (partial). Chat-bubble style rather than full-screen forms; FSL licence bars reselling it as a service.
- Jotform: Form and survey builder, Conditional logic and branching, Payments in forms, Integrations and webhooks (partial). No PDF forms or e-signatures.
- Tally Pro: Build forms and surveys, Conditional questions and branching, Response analytics, Integrations and webhooks (partial). Source-available under FSL 1.1, rather than an OSI-approved license for current versions; conversational flows, branching, analytics and webhooks cover form workflows; licensing and Tally workspace features differ.
