# SendRec

> SendRec (63 stars, v1.94.0 Oct 2026, 4 contributors) is a young but very active Loom clone you run yourself: a Go server with PostgreSQL and S3-compatible storage. Recording happens in the browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox), so there is no desktop app. Share pages have passwords, expiry, timestamped comments, reactions, captions and AI summaries; transcription can run locally with whisper.cpp. Includes team workspaces, SSO and per-video analytics. AGPL-3.0. Free-tier limits (25 videos/month, 5 min) are on by default and must be switched off in config. Small project: expect less polish than Cap.

## What it replaces

Covers all six jobs in the browser; trimming is basic (transcript-based), and AI summaries need an OpenAI-compatible API.
