RAD Debugger at a glance

Checked 18 Oct 2026

The RAD Debugger is Epic Games' native, multi-process graphical debugger for x64 programs. Windows is the main platform; Linux support is very early and there is no macOS support. The repo also holds the RAD Linker (an MSVC-compatible PE/COFF linker for very large projects) and the RDI debug-info format. The README says the debugger is in alpha. Prebuilt binaries are on the Releases page, or build with MSVC/Clang or GCC. MIT licence. It is a free tool and does not replace a paid product.

Where these numbers come from
  • Stars, forks, releases: GitHub's public API, fetched every night (last fetch today).
  • Star history: counted every night since 18 Oct 2026.
  • Commits and people committing: GitHub's repository statistics, counted weekly. Names are never stored.
  • Pull requests and issues: counted from GitHub for the last 30 days.
  • Stars show popularity, not quality. The facts below are checked separately, by reading the project's own documentation. How we check.
