# Passbolt

> Passbolt Community Edition (API v5.16.0, Sep 2026) is a team password manager you host yourself, AGPL-3.0. Each user holds their own secret key and secrets are end-to-end encrypted with OpenPGP; the vendor says it is audited several times a year and publishes findings. Clients are browser extensions (Chrome, Firefox, Edge), iOS and Android apps and a CLI; the desktop app is pre-alpha. Server needs 2 cores and 2 GB RAM on a clean Linux host plus SMTP. Pro and Cloud editions are paid. Aimed at teams more than personal use.
