OpenMAIC (v1.3.1, Nov 2026, ~42k stars) is a self-hosted web app from Tsinghua's MAIC team. Give it a topic or your own files and AI agents build a lesson with slides, quizzes, simulations, whiteboard drawing and narration, exportable as PPTX or offline HTML. MIT, with one bundled LGPL package. It needs Node.js 22 or Docker, PostgreSQL and AI models you choose: cloud API keys by default, or local Ollama, Lemonade or FunASR. Leave ACCESS_CODE unset and anyone who can reach the server controls the library. Upgrades from 1.3.0 need care.

Yes. Yes; you host the app yourself, and AI can come from cloud APIs or local Ollama, Lemonade or FunASR
Each fact has its own date. Unknown means nobody has published it. We read their documentation; we didn’t install it. Running it yourself costs your hardware, electricity and setup time. Report a correction.
