# Odoo Community

> Odoo (55.1k stars) is a suite of business apps. The open-source Community edition includes the Invoicing app (invoices, vendor bills, payments, simplified accounting), online invoice payment through the customer portal, Expenses and timesheet logging. The full Accounting app, with standard financial reports and bank reconciliation, is not in this repository; Enterprise is a separate repo of extra add-ons. LGPL-3.0. Install from packages (Windows installer, Debian/RPM) or source with Python and PostgreSQL. Powerful but complex for simple invoicing.

## What it replaces
- QuickBooks Online: Invoices, Online payment of invoices, Expense and receipt tracking (partial). Community has invoicing and payments; financial reports and bank reconciliation are in the full Accounting app, which is not in Community.
- FreshBooks: Invoices, Online payment of invoices, Time tracking and billing for time, Expense and receipt tracking (partial). Covers the jobs, but setup and the module system are heavier.
