Newsjack at a glance
Checked 18 Oct 2026Newsjack is a set of Markdown skills plus a small CLI that give an AI agent PR tasks: spotting news you can comment on, angle and headline drafts, pitch critique, fact-checking, crisis holding statements, coverage tracking and AI-visibility prompt panels. It works in Claude Code, Codex, Hermes and OpenClaw, with reduced modes in Claude.ai, Cowork and ChatGPT. Live news search and journalist research use the Medialyst API (free account offered). MIT licence. It needs an AI agent and does not replace a paid product we list.

Where these numbers come from
- Stars, forks, releases: GitHub's public API, fetched every night (last fetch today).
- Star history: counted every night since 18 Oct 2026.
- Commits and people committing: GitHub's repository statistics, counted weekly. Names are never stored.
- Pull requests and issues: counted from GitHub for the last 30 days.
- Stars show popularity, not quality. The facts below are checked separately, by reading the project's own documentation. How we check.
