LTeX+ at a glance

Checked 15 Oct 2026

LTeX+ is the maintained continuation of LTeX (whose original repos are archived): a language server (18.7.0, June 2026) plus a VS Code extension that bundles LanguageTool and Java and checks grammar and spelling offline in over 20 languages, including English, French, German, Dutch, Chinese and Russian. It understands LaTeX, Markdown, Typst, AsciiDoc, Org, reStructuredText and more. MPL-2.0. It works inside editors only, with no AI rewriting, tone changes or plagiarism checks.
