# Fragments

> Fragments is an Apache-2.0 Next.js app by E2B, the open-source counterpart to Claude Artifacts or v0. You prompt it, it writes a small app (Next.js, Vue.js, Streamlit, Gradio or a Python script) and runs it in an E2B cloud sandbox with a live preview. It supports OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, Groq, Fireworks, Together AI and Ollama, but an E2B API key is always needed because code runs on E2B's cloud. No database, auth or publishing for the generated apps. Active in October 2026.

- Lovable: Build a full-stack web app from a chat prompt, See the running app update as it is built (partial). Single-file prototypes and data apps with a preview; no backend setup, editing canvas or publishing.
- Bolt.new: Build a full-stack web app from a chat prompt, Run and preview the app in the browser (WebContainers) (partial). Code runs in E2B cloud sandboxes instead of the browser; small apps only.
