Form.io formio/formio

Developer form and API platform; drag-and-drop builder whose forms become REST APIs, embedded in Angular or React apps. PDF and reporting are paid.

Form.io at a glance

Checked 16 Oct 2026

Form.io's open-source core (2.3k stars, v4.11.0, active Oct 2026) is a Node.js and MongoDB server plus form builder and renderer: each form you drag together also becomes a REST API, and you embed forms in your own Angular or React app. The core has 33 form components, form actions, basic permissions and JSON or CSV export. The Developer Portal, reporting UI, PDF servers, PDF export and the standalone Form Manager for non-developers are Enterprise-only. Licensed OSL-3.0. A building block for developers, not a ready Typeform-style service.
