# CryptPad

> CryptPad is an end-to-end encrypted web office suite from XWiki SAS (2026.5.1, 26 May 2026) with documents, sheets, presentations, forms, kanban and whiteboards, edited together in real time and stored in an encrypted CryptDrive. Self-host on Linux (2 GB RAM, 2 CPUs recommended) or Docker, or use a public instance. AGPL-3.0. It runs in the browser; there is no desktop app.

## What it replaces
- Microsoft 365: Spreadsheets (Excel), Documents (Word), Presentations (PowerPoint), Real-time co-editing, Cloud storage and sync (OneDrive) (partial). Private, encrypted co-editing and storage in the browser; feature parity with Word, Excel and PowerPoint not checked.
