# ComfyUI

> ComfyUI builds generation pipelines as node graphs and supports a long list of open image models (SD 1.5, SDXL, SD3.5, Flux.1, Flux.2, Qwen Image, Z-Image and more). It ships a desktop app (Windows, macOS), a Windows portable build and a manual install, and claims to run large models on 4GB VRAM + 8GB RAM. Code is GPL-3.0; there is no default model, so the weights licence is whatever you load. Paid API nodes and Comfy Cloud are optional and can be disabled with --offline.

## What it replaces
- Midjourney: Text-to-image, Image editing (inpainting and outpainting), Upscaling, Style and image reference (partial). Covers all four jobs with open models you pick and wire up yourself; quality and licence depend on the model.
- Adobe Firefly: Text-to-image, Image editing (generative fill and expand), Style and image reference (partial). Inpainting, outpainting and reference conditioning are built in; no Adobe app integration.
- Suno: Full songs with vocals from a prompt or lyrics (partial). Makes songs through the YuE2 text-to-music workflow (official ComfyUI template); the YuE2 weights are non-commercial except for individual creators.
