AstrBot (v4.29.4, Oct 2026; ~45k stars) is a self-hosted agent chatbot you connect to QQ, Telegram, Slack, Discord, Feishu, DingTalk and other chat apps. It adds MCP, skills, a knowledge base, an agent sandbox and a plugin market whose third-party plugins are not audited. Use hosted models with your own key, or Ollama and LM Studio. Install with uv, Docker or a desktop app. AGPL-3.0, plus an EULA with content limits you accept by installing. No paid tier. It may send anonymous usage statistics, which ASTRBOT_DISABLE_METRICS=1 turns off.
