# Anytype

> Anytype's desktop client (Windows, macOS, Linux; v0.57.4, Oct 2026) stores data offline-first with optional encrypted sync. It is source-available, not open source: the Any Source Available License 1.0 allows non-commercial use, and commercial use only on networks Any Association authorises. You can self-host a sync network with Docker (~1 GB RAM). Paid memberships add storage, unlimited shared channels and an ANY ID.
