# AFFiNE

> AFFiNE is an Electron desktop app (Windows, macOS, Linux; release v0.27.4, Aug 2026) plus a self-hostable Docker server. Licensing is mixed: most code is MIT, but packages/backend is under the AFFiNE Enterprise Edition licence, with parts shipped in the Community Edition stated as MPL-2.0. The pricing page lists free self-hosting with up to 10 members per workspace; Self-Hosted Team is $10/seat/month. Hardware needs are not documented in the repo.
